BAMTEC - SLABS software is an optional add-on module to SLABS software. In combination with SLABS software and a CAD package the BAMTEC module offers a comprehensive design tool for a very efficient design of BAMTEC reinforcing carpets.

The major advantage of BAMTEC carpets is their flexibility to adjust to the required reinforcement intensity as prescribed by the design engineer.  By using BAMTEC carpets any bar spacing and a very small bar size, such as 10, can be implements easily. Also, the steel intensity might vary over different areas in the same slab. All this will result in a more efficient usage of the reinforcement, which will result in some saving of the total amount of steel. The usage of small bar sizes is especially significant when crack criteria governs the design.
